My Story

Who Am I?

Hi, I’m Holden Jones! I started this blog because I’m passionate about hockey—watching it, playing it, and skating whenever I can. Hockey has brought so much joy to my life, and I want to share that excitement by helping others discover this amazing sport!

I began playing recreational ice hockey 10 years ago, at age 16. Most hockey pros seem to start skating as toddlers, but that’s not my story—I’m no all-star. I play purely for the love of the game. I joined a lower-level league where players of all ages hit the ice, including my dad and brother, and it’s been a fantastic experience ever since.

I know hockey can feel intimidating to get into. The gear, the cost, and even understanding the basics can be overwhelming. Thankfully, I had my dad, a lifelong hockey player, to guide me with equipment tips, rule explanations, and skating advice. Now, I want to be that person for you! Whether you’re curious about what gear to buy or just looking for tips to get started, I’m here to help you lace up your skates and join the fun.
