Information we use

When you create an account, Supabase processes your email address, authentication credentials, account identifier, and sign-in activity. If you choose Google sign-in, Google shares your account identifier, email address, and basic profile information, such as your name and profile picture, with our authentication service. Rink Result does not receive your Google password.

The app saves your quiz results, the players and skills you have practiced, completed sessions, selected teams, learning preferences, and activity timestamps. These records power your progress, streaks, and review schedule.

Saving progress and device storage

Guest progress stays in your browser. Signing in transfers guest progress from that browser into your account and synchronizes it with Supabase. The app also keeps progress, roster data, and sign-in session information in browser storage so it can remember you and retry interrupted saves.

Signing out ends the session in that browser; it does not delete your saved progress or all locally cached data. On a shared device, sign out and clear the site's browser data when finished. Clearing browser data can erase guest progress that has not been saved to an account.

Services that process information

We use Supabase for authentication and account progress, Vercel for hosting and roster delivery, and Resend for account confirmation and recovery emails. These providers process information needed to operate those services, including technical request and delivery logs. Google processes Google sign-in when you choose it.

Your browser also requests fonts from Google Fonts and player photos or team images from NHL content servers. Those requests disclose ordinary connection information, such as your IP address, to the servers delivering those resources.

How information is used

Account and learning information is used to sign you in, save and restore progress, personalize practice, deliver account emails, and operate and troubleshoot the app. Your learning progress is not displayed publicly. The app does not include advertising trackers or sell your personal information.

Google account information is used for authentication and account identification. Rink Result requests basic identity permissions only; it does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, or calendar.

Your choices and deletion

You can practice without creating an account, use email instead of Google sign-in, sign out, and clear this site's browser storage. You can revoke Rink Result's Google access in your Google Account connection settings; revoking access does not itself delete your Rink Result account or progress.

Account information and cloud progress remain stored until you request deletion. To request access, correction, or deletion of your account and progress, email hjonesseo@gmail.com from your account email. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you before acting on a request. Local browser copies must also be cleared on your devices.
